Performance Teams

 
 

Auditions for our Performance Teams are held in Term 3 each year, with the option of video auditions for families who are unable to attend in person.

NPDA’s Performance Teams are ideal for students seeking more than a weekly dance class and who love performing on stage throughout the year—not just at concert time. Teams are offered in the following age groups: Under 6, Under 8, Under 10, Under 12, Under 15, and Open.

Our Performance Teams compete across a range of styles, including:

  • Classical

  • Jazz

  • Lyrical

  • Contemporary

  • Broadway Jazz

Team classes provide next-level training, featuring award-winning choreography that develops strong performance quality, refined technique, and confidence on stage. Choreography is taught and rehearsed with the goal of competing at Eisteddfods throughout the year, giving students valuable and consistent performance experience.

Entry into Performance Teams is by audition or invitation only, with selections held annually.

While Performance Teams are a lot of fun and offer students the chance to build lasting friendships, they also require a high level of commitment, dedication, and professionalism. For this reason, all team members and families are expected to understand and meet the compulsory requirements involved in team participation.
